End to end traceability is done in a number of steps.
Stored information from a database or cloud based database is identified and pulled .
This information is encrypted in a unique code ( QR, Datamatrix, barcode)
The permanent code is then marked on the part by laser marking , dot peen marking etc. Other methods of putting these unique identification codes on the parts is RFID tags and labels.
The code is then read by a code reader to ascertain the quality of code and its verification.
The interpreted data is sent back to the cloud/server/database which is used to make reports for analysis and strategy making.
The part moves forward in the production/ assembly/ chains supply process for further use.
